For
nearly a century, The Crisis has been
and continues to be the NAACP's articulate partner
in the fight for civil rights - helping to shape public
opinion. Our power is not only measured by our subscriber
base but by our influence. Not only do we reach the
NAACP membership, we are in the hands of corporate
executives and elected officials. Pulitzer Prize Winner
David Levering Lewis wrote of The Crisis as a publication "from whose thousands of heated pages
scholarship, racial propaganda, visionary pronouncements
and majestic indignation thundered and flashed."
We
are personally honored to have Roger Wilkins serve
as the Chairman and Publisher of The Crisis Publishing
Company, Inc., upholding the legacy of his uncle Roy
Wilkins who served as Editor (1934 -1945) and 22 years
as the NAACP Executive Director (1955 -1977).
As
the nation's oldest continuously published black journal,
there is no equal in the marketplace. Readers consider
The Crisis the authority on issues
that impact their lives. No other publication has
our history and commitment to serving the community.
The Crisis gives advertisers an opportunity
to build market share by delivering active and involved
opinion leaders. We invite you to join us in celebrating
this great publication.
